I had an awesome german shorthair pointer. He was the best. He not only worked the fields but he would sit in the blind and retrieve ducks and geese better than any lab I have ever known. Toby passed last year. I am looking for another dog.

I hunt with dogs and will not hunt with out one! Here is my GWP with a few Goldeneyes and a Drake Mallard. I used to hunt with Labs but changed to this breed as it suited my needs better. WE can all agree that hunting with a well trained dog - no matter what the breed - is a joy to watch. JW

I hunted with dogs most of my life, springers and shorthairs but have been without one for the last few years. I just got a 4 yr old chocolate lab. I've hunted over her last year a couple of times. She isn't fancy but does not loose a duck. I am anxious for fall!!
