Well, I have decided to begin my quest to build the ultimate, perfect hunting rig. I am going to purchase a new truck in the near future and I am going to pimp out my 1990 Ford F-150 into the ultimate hunting rig. I started with the interior today. I bought a brand new Sony CD/MP3 system complete with speakers. I also got a nice Cobra 40 channel CB radio. Got the dual K40 48" antennas on the way from ebay. (Got a great deal on them brand new) This thing is going to be a sweet huntin' ride when I am done. I plan on doing a complete rebuild. I will take pictures throughout the whole process.

Tomorrow I am going to install the new stereo and CB radio. I am watching a Cobra radar detector right now on ebay. That will go in next. I am also checking out a few different GPS units. I am going to custom mount the GPS, in-dash.

Here's a few things I did this evening. I pulled the old CD player and put in the new CD/MP3 player. I also removed the old blown door speakers and replaced them with new ones. It sounds much better. My camera ran out of battery right in the middle of the install so I will post more pics tomorrow. I also put this nifty steering wheel cover I found at Bass Pro today. So, stereo, CHECK! Next, Cobra 40 cannel digital CB radio. The antennas I ordered should be here in a few days. Check out the link to see my photo album of progress. s174.photobucket.com/albums/w109/davegorden/Hunting%20Truck%20Conversion%20Project/

Rednecks Unite! The CB radio is in! Looks pretty good too. I still need to mount the antennas though. They came with the over sized west coast style mirror brackets and they don't fit. I figured that when I ordered them. I am trying to decide if I want to get the correct brackets, or just drill and mount the antennas right to my mirror arms. It would still look really good but it would be permanent. I think I'll sleep on it. Anyway, here are some new photos. s925.photobucket.com/albums/ad100/waterfowlersadvantage/Ultimate%20Hunting%20Truck%20Project/
