this year i took my son on his first waterfowl hunt, he is 8 years old. it was early teal season first light and and a Virginia rail lands 10 yard away. he lifts up his 410 aims and missed. the rail just jumped and landed in the same spot so i loaded another shell and said take your time and shoot again....he got him. it was so cool to see his face light up. i play it over in my head all the time.

That is awesome! I am taking my 6 year old daughter on her first turkey hunt this spring. She wants to shoot her new bow. We are still practicing though.

I reminded my wife the other day that I did not cry when any of my 3 kids were born but if my first born shoots a turkey this spring I will probably ball like a little girl...
