The "Hardcore" or "Open Water" was my first of Rick Hahne Calls. When i found this call i was looking for a call that would scream those ear piercing hail calls, to get the attention of distant ducks over someone else's spread, without compromising the low end feed chatter or the old confident hen mallard quack. This call screams above the rest and quacks with the best. If your looking for a competition call, or just a call for those high wind days, this is the call. The only reason the "Hardcore" hasn't won world yet is simply because it just hasn't been in the right hands, those hands could be yours, give it a try you wont be sorry.
