Do any of you guys use a mud motor on your boat? I just purchased a mud motor but I'm new to them. Any pointers? Thanks.

I bought a 29hp mudbuddy long tail. I have a Tracker Grizzly 16X48 which is a short transom. The mudbuddy is for a long transom so I put an extension on the Tracker and now the transom measures almost 22 inches. Is that going to be to high? I know that normally a tall transom boat is approximately 20 inches. Thanks.

29hp + long tail+ small boat= brused ribs ;D( watch out for hidden stumps any mounds that would make your tail bouncs) also stretch before you take it out and give your self plenty of room to turn it will take some getting use to it took me about 10 times out to get the hang of it let me know when you get it hooked up i would love to see pics

Also make sure to keep plenty of electrical tape and sticks on hand for an emergency plug....also, ratchet straps and the above mentioned electrical tape just in case your tiller handle breaks. The Grizzly is all-welded so you won't need to worry about keeping spare rivets and a hammer handy. Oh and make sure you keep your push pole in the bottom of the boat and not near the side rails..
Just a few suggestions...can I get an Amen fupeta?? ;D
