putting all the gear away. the last two weeks have been awesome reminding me again why I love to shoot honkers. Birds worked flawlessly some days, even got some maple-leafing one day when the fog broke. Shot them out of cow fields, crop fields and water sets with excellent results. I have decided not to hunt Ks. unless it is an easy hunt for their honkers up until Feb17th. Will have to find a way to store all the extra full bodies I bought this year, looks like they are going to be out in my shop hanging from the rafters.lol
The shelf over my bench is full now with carved decoys and I have three or four more bags of them to hang up also. Gotta get the boat home and ready for fishing. Have been thinking about a new lowrance or hb with some sideview and downview technology.

I hate this time of year. Honkers away, mallards already sleeping...but, snows are right around the corner!

I last hunted snows about 5 years ago in SE MO. Unless they provided themselves within range I won't waste my time any more. Chased them for years, I'll pour and tie a pile of jigs for fishing and get ready for gardening if the peaches are good I'll even make some of this for next hunting season for post-hunt libations.

Looks tasty! I know what you mean swampy. I will start getting ready for the 2010 FLW tournament circuit about mid-march.

now thats not moon shine is it it is against federal law to distill alcohol or spirits without a license. Any shine I have had the pleasure to drink was as clear as water and had a little more bite. That is infused liquor made from store purchased booze mixed with sugar and fruits. 100% legal. I am no Mavin "popcorn" Sutton. ;D
