it was acrylic stabilized maple burl. I paid for the wood and traded a decoy for him to turn it. It was beautiful.

I would imagine they are molded birds from China like most of the DU style birds. If they don't have a keel on them and they cannot be gunned they are not decoys just mantle trash ;D he should have this bird around his house he came by my place a week or two before season and picked it up.
